Starting the year with a bang...

I am part of a local photography club here on Whidbey Island. We meet monthly discussing different aspects of photography from technical information to composition to sharing about our experiences. We end each meeting with sharing five images. Sometimes we share older images, but for the most part these are to be new images thus encouraging us to get out there and shoot. I am going to make this blog a monthly installment for 2018 giving you a glimpse of my new images each month. Steve McCurry says, “If you want to be a photographer, you have to photograph.” So I am going to try to schedule at least one outing every month to focus on new compositions and techniques in the field. For the January camera club meeting I shared some images from my recent two day camping trip to La Push. La Push is a place I grew up camping at. It is a place I frequent often and have photographed many times over the years. This trip I worked really hard to see this couple mile stretch of beach with fresh eyes. I still have more images to process from this outing, but here are the five I shared at this months meeting. Thanks for stopping by! ~Holly
