Winter storms are par for the course here in Washington. Wind, rain, and even hail at lower elevations happen frequently during the winter months. This weekend was no different. Originally, my family and I had planned a camping trip out to the Olympic Peninsula to meet up with some fellow lady photographers so we could get to know each other and make some connections. However, when the 24 hour forecast came out calling for 60 mph wind gusts and 100% chance of rain it was decided to postpone the outing. Made prefect sense, except we already had plans to camp as a family and well I just can't turn down a good storm. I didn't sleep much Saturday night though. Let's just say I'm glad winds topped out at 57 mph. Those were strong enough for me in our truck and camper. (We were perfectly safe, but we did a lot of rocking. My husband slept just fine.) It was a wonderful family adventure. Between the rain and hail I managed to capture a couple of images on Sunday. Enjoy!
