Shhhh...I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I shoot weddings. Kind of. Sometimes. Ok, so here's the deal. I'm blessed with a big, close family. And, my cousins went and had a bunch of kids. Girls to be exact. There are some boys mixed in, but girls rule. Seventeen of them if I am counting correctly, and those are just the second cousins. I'm not shooting 17 weddings. Right now I on the books for two. Don't worry I'm not giving up landscape photography. My astrophotography is doing amazingly well at the Whidbey Art Gallery, I just scored the cover of Whidbey Life Magazine, and five of my images were chosen to grace the halls of the new wing of WhidbeyHealth, our local hospital. Landscape photography is my passion. Though it is no secret that I enjoy documentary photography and it is my second passion. Anytime I can combine the two creating environmental portraits I am a happy camper. Weddings are a totally different animal. They are fast pace, stressful, and crazy. A stark contrast from my peaceful wilderness experience. But you know what, I thrive on fast pace, stressful, and crazy. Maybe it stems from my previous life as an elementary special education teacher, but no matter where it comes from weddings push me as a photographer. I love stepping up to the challenge. So for now I am not actively pursuing weddings, but if you dig my style message me. We should chat.
